1. How do I add sound?

Select the category 'Sound' from the drop down list in the upper left corner.
Click 'Add' and choose a sound file to add.
If the sound is not in WAV format, you are asked whether you want to convert it.
After you have converted it, click 'Add' once more and find the WAV file.

2. What's the difference between WAV format and MP3?

WAV format is usually uncompressed and takes more space on the hard drive than MP3.
Stickman does only understand WAV.
If you try to add a sound with another sound format, you will be asked whether to convert the sound to WAV.

3. Is there any easy way to only view WAV files when adding a sound?

Select 'WAV' from the list at the bottom of the add sound dialog.

4. What is the most effective way to synchronize lips with sound?

Use the following workflow:
1. Add the sound in Stickman (category Sound).
2. Add a key with Speaker Tool where you want the sound to begin.
3. Activate the switch or control points tool for mouth.
4. With the mouse cursor over the time line with numbers, hold left mouse button and drag.
5. You will hear the sound frame by frame when changing the selected frame.
6. Add a key frame and change the mouth for each letter that is pronounced.

Right drag the time line for accurate scrolling when animating speech.
You can also activate View->Preview: Time Line to not preview the whole scene from beginning.

5. How do I record a sound?

In the statup dialog, choose 'Record Sound' from the menu on the left side.
